Pregnancy, Postpartum & Motherhood

As a certified Perinatal Mental Health provider through the Postpartum Support Institute, I am trained to screen for, support and treat perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (referred to as PMADs) through pregnancy, postpartum and into motherhood.

Pregnancy and the postpartum period are uniquely challenging because it can feel impossible to know if what you're feeling is part of the adjustment that everyone goes through or if it's something more.

Fortunately, you don't have to spend precious time figuring that out.

Are you worried about pregnancy?

Are you having upsetting thoughts about you or your baby that you can't get out of your head?

Are you missing your life before becoming a Mom?

Are you working through a scary or traumatic birth experience or loss?

Are you just not feeling like yourself after having your baby (or babies!)?

Each of these is reason enough to reach out.

You deserve to feel joy in this season of your life.

Postpartum does not end at 6 weeks, 12 weeks or

1 year, and neither does the need for support.

The immediate postpartum period evolves into

motherhood and the golden thread that remains through the stages is the impact of the mental load of motherhood.

This mental load is usually invisible to others and can bring resentment, loneliness, and other unpleasant feelings that can leave us feeling stuck in "survival mode".

We will work together to process the identity shift and find stability in this evolving role, navigate relationship dynamics, and develop concrete coping skills to support you through every stage.
